It’s very simple. 

All you will need is a broadband Internet connection and sometimes a phone.

You can participate from anywhere you are in the world.  Also, since most How Might projects will need only a few minutes or hours of your time and we try to give reasonable notice, you can easily fit them around whatever else you are doing.  In fact, we hope that they will give you some creative refreshment for everything else that you do!

Also, everything you do with How Might is anonymous unless you specifically authorise us otherwise.  When you sign up to the network, you choose an anonymous username and that’s how you will be known to our clients and other innovators.  We do this to ensure that everyone can contribute freely and to protect our innovators’ personal privacy (see our privacy policy for full details). 

Here’s how the process works:

1. You join the How Might network using the ‘Join Us’ form on this website.

2. We contact you to discuss your profile and interests, answer your general questions and discuss any next steps, which may include taking up references and/or participating in a trial project.

3. When we have an innovation project which we think might be appropriate for you, we invite you to take part and you can accept or reject our invitation.  We will make clear how the project works, in what way we would like you to contribute and how we would like to reward you.

4. If you accept most projects that we offer you and regularly make an outstanding contribution, we will become your enthusiastic advocate with our clients and you can expect over time to be invited to bigger roles in more projects!
